Avoidance 2

In this series, I work with natural materials — paper, branches, leaves — yet deliberately create rhythms and textures that feel artificial, almost industrial. The grid-like imprints are made with found mesh and netting, creating repetitive patterns that contrast with the organic diffusion of sprayed color. This tension between soft, atmospheric backgrounds and rigid overlays speaks to the central theme of avoidance — the instinct to distance, to control, to abstract the natural into something less vulnerable.
